Our beautiful puppy Hondo (alias was Sebastian) from the Alabama rescue trip is just awesome!!  Hondo is very loving and smart too.  He loves attention and everyone he is introduced to.  He is a little protective when his "cousins" come over to visit, and does get a little cranky when they get in his food dish, but recently even that is about over.  He shared his dish with one of my Daughter's dogs the other night!!

He has been loving the snow too! I thought he would be inside most of the time for the duration of winter, but he asks to go out often.  We are very grateful to Helping Hounds for finding this fellow for us, and in the spring we will be looking for a yellow lab pup to join him!

Barney (Stryker) is great. His remaining challenges...ours, really...are leash manners and reliable recalls. We're working in the one with a front clip harness and a martingale collar and the other with a 39-foot lead in our big fenced yard. He's smarter than I am and if we discipline ourselves to do what he needs he will probably be the best dog we've ever had. He's incredibly affectionate too. Once he's learned the basics, we'll be in touch for a sibling for him, in several months.

Scout is settling in very nicely. It took about 6 weeks but he is home. He LOVES to play in his side yard. He has a dog run there. He likes to fetch the ball. He walks very nicely on his leash. He just finished PETSMART beginning training. He comes when calls, sits and knows down. We are working on his jumping but he gets excited. He loves his attention. Sorry it took so long to write back but Christmas at FedEx office is busy and hour have been crazy.

Spree (now Brie) has been wonderful! She loves to play with her sister Minnie and has already been on a trip to the wineries on Seneca Lake.  She’s great in the car!  She’s also looking forward to going to camp this spring / summer! She has mastered "ringing the bell" when she needs to go out and now she has no more accidents!  She’s super smart!    She also likes to eat moms shoes but we are hoping she will grow out of that!

Overall Brie is a sweet loving dog and we enjoy her very much!
