Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female : : Young
Jennifer was found at a convenience store in a suburb of Mobile, Alabama, at the Country Store in Saraland. Rather than name her Sara, after the suburb where she was found, we named her after the hero who took her in, searched for an owner and, finally, finding no owner to claim her, set to finding help. Jennifer is laid back, curious, but not overly playful. She's just happy to be in a safe, loving place and off the street. She's thin, may have been a model in her former life, but she definitely doesn't exercise much, if any, and she's light as a feather. Most importantly, she's healthy and can eat all she wants. Based on her eating habits, suspect she'll always be on the thin side. She gets along with other cats and, even annoying kittens, after an initial, but short-lived period of normal fearful hissing. She gracefully endured the company of annoying kittens who not only searched for milk from her thin self, but were prone to acting flat crazy, when all she ever wanted was to chill and relax. Meet Jennifer at Pet Supermarket, Cottage Hill at Hillcrest, Mobile, AL, right next to Publix. She was a bit anxious being taken from a loving foster home, and placed in a new place, even though she has a great staff and volunteers to care for her. It's natural for a cat to be anxious when moved. She'll settle in a couple of days and you can see what a delightful, sweet cat she is. After living on the streets and being dependent on strangers to throw her a crumb or two, she'll be eternally grateful and loving to her forever family. She's been given the full day spa treatment at Spring Hill Animal Clinic. She is now spayed, dewormed, vaccinated, tested negative for nasty cat diseases, and has been microchipped so she can always be returned to her beloved adopter, should she somehow get lost. She has excellent litter box etiquette, unlike kittens who step in it and get it on absolutely everything. Those who don't recognize the many advantages of adopting a cat beyond the crazy kitten and teen years doesn't have a clue what a joy it can be to adopt a cat who is so beyond that age. Even though she was found foraging outside, any adopter must agree to keep her indoors forever. Indoor cats live much longer anyway. After her experience on the street, it's doubtful she'll ever want to go outside again. Please don't let her. She gets lost easily. Save a Stray pets are in foster homes.
