Meet...TESSA! Tessa is a spayed, tri-color border collie. She is approximately 2 & 1/2 years old, and weighs 38 pounds (though she does need to lose a few pounds)! Tessa was taken from an abusive/neglectful situation. She is initially s ... hy with new people and is very submissive - loud voices scare her and she will run and hide. She is a super-sweet girl who gets along with other dogs; she has been exposed to cats and is VERY interested in them - she has not tried to hurt them, but HERD them....constantly. She has a VERY high herding instinct, and would do best in a home where she gets a lot of exercise. Tessa has been exposed to children and has done well. Tessa has been spayed, dewormed, fully vaccinated, and tested for heartworms (positive). She is on the slow-kill method of heartworm treatment at this time. Tessa is house-trained to a dog-door, and does well when left loose in a house.
