Berry is a very special girl. She has gotten along very well with all my different foster dogs as well, dogs of all sizes and ages, both male and female. She pretty much ignores the cats. Berry had a trust issue that took a bit of time and patience to get through. She will still jump a little if I happen to drop something when she is close by, like my cellphone, but she doesn't run a few steps away anymore. She is very well behaved, very sweet and very loving. She will sit on the sofa with me at night to watch TV and follows me everywhere. She is still not comfortable on a leash and when you try to get her to go in a direction she doesn't want to go she will sit down and begin trembling so a fenced in yard is necessary. She has begun letting people pet her after she has been around them a few times. So far, those people have mostly been my family and friends. She is such a sweet girl, just be patient with her insecurities. It may take a couple of months but you will be rewarded with a love and loyalty like no other. She is also very food oriented and treats work really well when getting to know each other. She will come and lick my hands now when she wants to be petted and loves to have her beautiful coat brushed. Berry is house trained, crate trained and knows "sit", "stay", "no" and when you say "Berry, get in your crate", she does it with no fuss. She actually likes her crate and will get in it during especially thunderous storms. She sleeps in a dog bed in my bedroom at night but she has a favored chair that she naps in. She enjoys going with me to visit my mom and loves to help me feed my horses. This baby really deserves a loving home and will in return give you love. I just cannot say enough how special Berry is. We love her and will miss her very much but will also be thrilled for her when she gets her very own family and home.
