Kitty, a 7 mo old  spayed f emale,  is a beautiful dilute orange tabby with deep copper eyes and thick, soft fur. Orange tabbies are usually male, so she is special. She is quiet, doesn't get into things, very laid back and low maintenance. She just wants to sleep next to you on the bed, and spend a bit of time playing with a ball or toy.

Kitty was living alone, scared and hungry, on the streets of Mobile, so naturally she’s been traumatized and wasn't very trusting of humans. But, she's quickly come a long, long way.  She still runs and hides when you come into the room but less and less so. She comes out quickly, jumps on the bed and sleeps next to you, touching you. She enjoys being petted. And, she’s learning to play. Chasing a ball is her favorite thing. She's getting used to living with other cats. She now sleeps just two feet away from another cat so they'll probably get along, given time. For now, a fearful hiss erupts  whenever  the other cat comes head to head.

In spite of being fearful she has never scratched or bitten her foster, even when her foster had to struggle to catch her and place her in a carrier for a trip to the vet for vaccinations. That's a pretty good sign of the inherent sweetness in this cat's makeup.

Kitty hisses  when the dog in her foster home rushes into the room and gets too close. Who knows what kind of dogs she experienced living on the streets. Again, I suspect that with time and exposure she'll learn to trust a friendly dog. I do not know how she would react around fiesty children.

Give this sweet kitty a good home. She's had a hard life but she's ready to be your best friend for years to come.
